What does the Move button do? What does the Duplicate button do?
Transfer the selected students to the Target classroom. This will remove the students from the source classroom's roster. Copy the selected students into the Target classroom. These students will now be enrolled in both classrooms.

Move an Unassigned Student (or Students) into an Existing Classroom

An Unassigned student is a student who has not been enrolled in a DreamBox Math classroom. The steps to move an Unassigned student into an existing Math classroom are similar to the steps above, with two key differences.

Difference 1: Select Unassigned Students from the Source roster.

In the Source roster filters:

  • Select the school (if necessary), leave the Grade drop-down set to All Grades, and select Unassigned Students in the Classroom drop-down.

Difference 2: The Assign Button

  • After you select the Unassigned student (or students) and then select the Target Grade and Classroom, the Assign button becomes active.
  • Click Assign to move the student into the Target classroom. They will no longer appear as an Unassigned student.

Bulk Move FAQs

Q: How do I save the changes I made?

A:  The changes are made when you select Move or Duplicate. You don't need to save your changes.

Q: What if I want to undo a moved or duplicated student?

A: If you want to undo a change you just made to a Target classroom, simply reverse the process:

  • Select the classroom that was the Target classroom as the Source classroom, and select the classroom that was the Source classroom as the Target classroom.
  • Select the students you just moved or copied in what is now the Source classroom, and move and copy them back to their original classroom.

Q: Can I use the Bulk Move tool to remove a student from a classroom?

A: Yes. To remove a student from a classroom, choose the classroom they should be removed from as the Source classroom, and move them to a different Target classroom.
