Signing In Using a Single Sign-On Portal
Gather the Sign-In Information Your Students Need
To make sure the sign-in process goes as smoothly as possible, make sure you know how the student will sign in and have their credentials ready.
- If a student will type their username and password to log in, you need the student’s district single sign-on username and password.
- If the student will use a Clever Badge or ClassLink QuickCard, make sure you have these ready.

Signing in Using DreamBox Direct Login
Gather the Sign-In Information Your Students Need
To make sure the sign-in process will go as smoothly as possible, make sure you know the following before a student tries to log in:
- Direct DreamBox Math school URL
- Student Classroom Code (needed if class settings are set to picture password)
- Student username and password (needed if class settings are set to text password)
|
Signing in using Direct Login
- Navigate to your school's unique DreamBox Math login web address (URL). When the Math school login page opens it may look like one of the two options below, based on the type of password/s students use at the school.
| If all school students use Text usernames and passwords, you will see the Username and Password fields only. | If any students in the school sign in using Picture passwords, you will see multiple ways to log in. |

Logging in with a Text Password

Logging in with a Picture Password
- Enter the student's 5-digit numeric classroom code, and then click Log In.

- When the student's classroom page opens, showing students' avatars, first names, and last initials, the student needs to click their name or avatar picture.
If a student selects the wrong avatar, they can click the back arrow button in their browser to return to the classroom page and select the correct avatar.
If you see a placeholder image instead of an avatar for a student, it means they have not selected it yet. They will be prompted to select an avatar when they log in.
- When the password page opens:
- If it is the first time a student is logging in, the picture they select will be their password going forward.
- If the student has already selected their picture password, they select the picture they chose.
If a student has not selected a password, after they select a picture they will be asked to confirm if they want that image to be their password. If not, they can select a different image and confirm their choice.

Educator Tips to Help Students Log In
1) Save your DreamBox login page as a Bookmark or Desktop Shortcut.
To make it easier for students to reach their login page, consider saving the website address as a bookmark on your internet browser or as a shortcut on the computer desktop. For additional information on creating a bookmark or shortcut, click here.
Classroom codes were implemented as an additional authentication layer to our login process to protect our users. We value our students' security and privacy, so it is not possible to save a classroom code or password. This greatly minimizes the risk that a student or teacher account can be accessed by an unauthorized user, especially through a shared device or by someone outside of school.
2) Decide if your classroom should use Text or Picture passwords.
In general, we recommend that older students use Text passwords. They may discover they can log in to each other's accounts by randomly guessing Picture passwords. Younger students or students with special needs may have difficulty remembering usernames and passwords, so they may benefit from Picture passwords.
You can switch your classroom from Text to Picture passwords and vice versa at any time from your Insight Dashboard. For instructions, click here.
3) Proactively review your students' usernames and passwords.
If students are not using single sign-on for DreamBox Math, teachers can view students' direct DreamBox Math usernames and passwords in their educator dashboard.
If a student is receiving a login error, they may be entering the incorrect username or password.
