Activity Feed Basics
Who can see the Activity Feed?
Administrators and teachers can view student activity for an entire classroom or specific student.
Click a role to jump to directions on how to open the Activity Feed.
When does the Activity Feed update?
The Activity Feed report updates in almost real-time.
What timeframe does the Activity Feed report show?
The Activity Feed reports the last 30 days' worth of lessons.
Does a student need to complete a lesson for it to appear on the Activity Feed?
The Activity Feed shows all completed lesson groups and all completed or paused lessons from the last 30 days.
Opening and Closing Activity Feed
Opening the Report
There are several ways to open the Activity Feed depending on your role. You can review the activity of an entire classroom or just a specific student.
Teachers
- Select Home in the top navigation pane.
- In the filters at the top of the page, select a classroom.

| Educators must be attached to the student's classroom to access and view the student via the Home Page. |
Administrators
- Select Reports in the top navigation pane.
| You may not see the Activity Report tile if you have not selected a teacher and classroom in the page filters. |
- Adjust the filters at the top of the page:
- To see classroom activity: Select the school, teacher, and classroom.
- To see a single student's activity: Select the school, teacher, classroom, and student.

| Leave the View filter set to Default. If it is set to Groups you will not be able to see the Activity Feed report. |
- After the Reports page adjusts to show available reports, click the Activity Feed tile.
Closing the Report
To close the report, click Close Report in the top right corner of the screen.

Filtering the Activity Feed
Inside the Activity Feed, teachers can filter to see lesson play:
- During a specific timeframe within the last 30 days
- For an entire classroom
- For an individual student

- In the date range filter, click the calendar icon and select a start and stop date within the last 30 days.

- Click the Student drop-down and select a student's name.

The Activity Feed Layout: Classroom
When viewing DreamBox Math lesson activity for an entire classroom, lesson cards are listed starting with the most recently completed lesson or lesson group, and teachers can move between two tabs:

In the Lesson Activity tab, teachers can see a list of each lesson each student in their class have played, starting with the most recently played lesson by a student.

On each lesson group card in the classroom view, teachers can:
- See which student completed the lesson group
- See the name and description of lesson group
- See the student's level of understanding of the lesson group

Shared Lesson Activity Tab
In the Shared Lesson Activity tab, teachers can see which students are playing lessons that are part of the same lesson group. Teachers can use this information to inform classroom lessons, group work, or mini-lessons.
Underneath each lesson group card, teachers can see all of the students working on lessons in the lesson group.

In each lesson group card, teachers can see the name and description of the group topic and click the view progress link to open the Classroom Standards report.

The Activity Feed Layout: Single Student
The Activity Feed for a single student is similar to the All Lesson Activity tab for a classroom. It shows teachers all lessons and lesson groups the selected student has started playing and paused, or has completed. The single-student Activity Feed shows the most recent paused or completed lesson or lesson group at the top of the list.

What do the Lesson Card Icons Mean?

The student completed a single lesson or lesson group with demonstrating understanding. To demonstrate understanding in a Lesson Group, students must demonstrate proficiency on all the lessons they play that are part of the group.

The student completed a lesson without demonstrating understanding. If a student does not demonstrate understanding, the program will adapt by either presenting the student with the same lesson so they can try it again, or present a different lesson that may better meet their learning needs.

| The student stopped playing the lesson before they finished it. The student will still be able to see and select this lesson from their Lesson Chooser until they complete it. | |||
| The student is struggling with the content of a lesson or lesson group and may need attention. | |||
|
|
The lesson has been assigned, and is part of a long or short-term assignment.

- Filter the report to show the date range, classroom, and student you want to print, click the Print button, and follow the prompts on your device.

Activity Feed FAQs
| Q: Why do some students have to play and complete more lessons than other students to complete the same lesson group? |
A: To complete a lesson group with demonstrated understanding, a student must demonstrate proficiency in all content contained in the lesson group. Depending on how well they complete lessons, one student may not need to play every lesson in a group to demonstrate proficiency while another student may need to play each lesson multiple times.
| Q: Why don't I see a student's name on a lesson or lesson group card? |
A: When viewing the Activity Feed for a single student, lesson cards will not show the student's name. All of the lesson cards are showing the activity for the selected student.
| Q: What do the icons on lesson cards in the Activity Feed mean? |
A: Click here to jump to a table explaining what each icon teachers see on a lesson card in the Activity Feed means.
| Q: Can I play Activity Feed demo lessons in Spanish? |
A: Not at this time.
| Q: When I play a demo lesson in the Activity Feed, will I see the same tasks and problems as the student? |
A: Not necessarily. The numbers and tasks in lesson problems may be different than what the student saw.
