DreamBox Math Student Tagging and Custom Groups is available to customers with the Advanced subscription package.
DreamBox Math educators can create custom groups in the educator dashboard and tag students, allowing them to:

Overview
| Q: Who can create custom groups? |
A: DreamBox administrators and teachers can tag students and create up to 50 groups each.
| Q: How big can groups be? |
A: Each custom group can contain up to 50 students.
| Q: Can anyone else see the custom groups an educator creates? |
A: No. Only the administrator or teacher who creates the custom group can see that group in the dashboard. Other educators need to create their own version of the group to see it.
| Q: Can educators create assignments for a group? |
A: Not at this time.
FAQs
| Q: Can two educators create a group with the exact same name? |
A: Yes.
| Q: I am an intervention educator but not a DreamBox administrator and work with students across multiple classrooms. Is there a way my DreamBox admin could create a group for me? |
A: If you are added as a teacher to each of the classrooms your students are in, you can create a group of your intervention students from the Groups tab in your dashboard.
| Q: Can I create a custom group to monitor summer school progress? |
A: Yes. There are two things to keep in mind:
- Not all reports are year-round. The Growth and Impact reports will not show data until the new school year begins.
- If a student leaves the school or district after summer school the group roster and report data may change when district rosters are updated for the new school year. If the student is removed from district rosters, they will be removed from the group.
| Q: Can I change the name of a group after I have created it? |
A: No. If you want to change the name of a custom group you need to first delete and then recreate the group.

| Q: After I move students in or out of a group, can I still access historical views of the group in a report that show the previous student list? |
A: No. We look at the current students in the group and provide reports for those students. If a student was in the group in August but removed in September, you would not see the removed student in October, even if you looked at data from August.
| Q: Why can't I see Last Year's reports for custom groups on the Reports page? |
A: All custom groups will be reset between school years. You will not be able to view Last Year's reports for a group after the new school year has started.
