Reading Plus Educator Dashboard: Overview & Navigation (Teachers)

This article walks through the teacher's view of the Reading Plus educator dashboard.

Navigating the Home Screen

From the Home screen, teachers can:

  • Access reports.
  • View and manage their classes and students.
  • See a 360-degree view of their students’ Reading Plus performance.

Opening Dashboard Reports

From the Home screen, teachers can explore several reports.

There are two ways to open a report from the Home page.

  1. Click a report section tab
  2. Click a report tile.

Opening Sidebar Tools, Resources, and Help

Use sidebar buttons to quickly access data for a specific class or student, manage classes, explore resources, or get help. Click the information button to open dashboard quick guides.

Navigating Dashboard Reports

Exploring Reports

All teachers can click category, class or student names to see the selected data. For example, on the Leaderboard, teachers with multiple classes can see how each class is performing or click a class name to see how the students in the selected class are performing.

Use the breadcrumbs at the top of the page to move back to a report overview or the Home screen.

Alerts and Usage Tiles

Alerts

Review the Alerts tile to see if any students have been put On Hold, earned an award, or sent a message. Click the tile to see specifics.

Usage

Review the Usage tile to see which students have completed their assigned work.

  • Single-Class Teachers: Click the Usage tile to view the Usage Report, Assignments Panel, Assignments Report, and Real-Time Activity tabs for the class. 
  • Multi-Class Teachers: Click the Usage tile to see the Usage Report and Assignments Panel for all classes. Click a class name to see the usage, assignment, and activity details for the selected class.

Exploring the Sidebar 

The dashboard sidebar button help teachers filter report data, adjust classroom and student details, and connects them with professional learning and classroom resources.

Click the Home button to return to the Home screen.

The Classes button lists a teacher's assigned classes and groups they have created. Click a class or group name to see report data for the selected class or group

Use the Students button to open a list of students in a class. Teachers assigned to multiple classes will see all of their students in the same list. Select a student to view or print the student's Overview Report, print parent letters, and review and adjust the student's details.

Inside the Manage page, teachers can create groups, filter the Home screen to see report data for a specific class, adjust class rosters, and adjust settings for assessments, assignments, holds, and other program elements.

Select the Learn button to access Getting Started Training, Reading Plus University resources and mini-courses, and Teaching Tools.
