By default, students' weekly assignment schedules are based on each students' initial assessment results. This means students in the same class will be given assignments on varied schedules with varied time requirements. Teachers can also choose to set the same number of weekly assignments for students. This article walks through how to adjust assignment settings for all students in a class.

Recommended Assignments are personalized to each students' needs, based on student’s initial InSight assessment (Benchmark 1) results. Recommended assignments for a student may change as they make progress.

Customized Class Assignments allow teachers to set the total weekly assignments in the three intructional programs (Reading, Vocabulary, Visual Skills) for all students in a class.

Adjusting Class Weekly Assignments
- On the sidebar, click the Manage button, verify that the Classes tab is selected, and then click Settings next to a class. The images below are of a teacher assigned to multiple classes.

- In the Class Settings window, click the Assignments tab, select either Recommended Assignments or Customized Class Assignments. If you select Customized Class Assignments, type the number of weekly assignments for each category.

| Q: Does Reading Plus recommend assignments based on each student's individual needs? |
A: Yes. Selecting Use Customized Student Assignments will set weekly assignments based on what is set for the three instructional programs.
| Q: How many lessons should students complete during a school year if they are using Reading Plus for intervention? |
A: As a general guideline, students using Reading Plus for intervention should complete a total of approximately 100 Reading lessons over the course of an academic year.
| Q: How long should it take students to complete a Reading Plus lesson? |
A: The approximate completion times per lesson are:
- Reading: 15 minutes per lesson
- Vocabulary: 10 minutes per lesson
- Visual Skills: 10 minutes per lesson
