DreamBox Math Educator Dashboard: Move or Copy Students into Classrooms (Administrators)

As a DreamBox Math administrator, you may be able to move or copy students in to classrooms. How you do this depends on your dashboard editing permissions and your DreamBox Math educator dashboard configuration.

How Do You Open DreamBox Settings?

Administrators follow different steps to manually move students into classroom settings based on how their DreamBox Math educator dashboard is configured. The quickest way to determine which directions to follow is to open your Math educator dashboard and check if the Settings icon appears in the top navigation pane.

In the table below, find the image that matches your dashboard and click the link to jump to the correct instructions.

Settings Icon: Move an Unassigned Student (or Students) into an Existing Classroom

An Unassigned student is a student who has not been enrolled in a DreamBox Math classroom. The steps to move an Unassigned student into an existing Math classroom are similar to the steps above, with two key differences.

Difference 1: Select Unassigned Students from the Source roster.

In the Source roster filters:

  • Select the school (if necessary), leave the Grade drop-down set to All Grades, and select Unassigned Students in the Classroom drop-down.

Q: How do I save the changes I made?

A:  The changes are made when you select Move or Duplicate. You don't need to save your changes.

Q: What if I want to undo a moved or duplicated student?

A: If you want to undo a change you just made to a Target classroom, simply reverse the process:

  • Select the classroom that was the Target classroom as the Source classroom, and select the classroom that was the Source classroom as the Target classroom.
  • Select the students you just moved or copied in what is now the Source classroom, and move and copy them back to their original classroom.
