DreamBox Math Student Experience: My House (Grades K-2)

My House is a fun learning and incentive storage space students can open from the Adventure Park. My House, students in the K-2 Learning Environment can:

  • Change their avatar.
  • Check their token balance.
  • See the Adventure Friends they have collected.
  • Practice using common lesson manipulatives.
  • View and print certificates from their My House page.

How do Students Access and Leave My House?

To access My House, students click the yellow landing platform in front of the My House icon. Their avatar will walk inside, and they will see themselves inside their House.

To return to the Adventure Park, click the Back arrow. Click the story theme icon to return to the most recent story lesson path the student was playing.

What Can Students Do In My House?

From inside their House, students can:

Support Icons_Tip Box_50px.png Two things to note about My House items:
  • Manipulatives: Some of the manipulatives may be locked. Students can open these by continuing to play and complete recommended lessons. Additional manipulatives will open up as the students progress through the content. 
  • Tokens: They cannot spend their tokens here.

 

Can I Limit When Students Can Access My House?

Educators can set parameters around when students can access My House, but families using School or Home Subscriptions cannot.  If you are an educator, click here to open directions and learn more about possible parameters.  

My House FAQs

Q: My student/child cannot see My House in the Adventure Park. What is happening?
A: If a student cannot see My House or the Arcade in the Adventure Park, this means their teacher or one of their teachers has restricted access to My House and the Arcade.
  • If you are teacher and want your students to be able to access My House, click here to open directions to update this setting.
  • If you are a family member, please reach out to your child's teacher.
