Teachers, school-level administrators, or district-level administrators can edit the days and classroom hours students can access incentives like:
- My House (see adventure friends cards, update avatars, etc)
- Arcade (play mini-games)
- Personalization (update avatars, music, and background)
- Collections (see badges and mini-games)
We call this editing or updating the Engagement Restrictions in the student learning environments. This article focuses on how to set or change when students can access incentives by updating the engagement restrictions.

How Do You Open DreamBox Settings?
Educators follow different steps to access and update engagment restrictions based on how their DreamBox Math educator dashboard is configured. The quickest way to determine which directions to follow is to sign into your educator dashboard and check the top navigation pane to see how you open program settings.
In the table below, find the image that matches your dashboard and click the link to jump to the correct instructions.

Updating students' access to incentives in DreamBox Math:
- Click the Settings icon in the top navigation pane, select the Engagement Restrictions tab, and use the Select Class drop-down menu to select a classroom.

- Update the days of the week and classroom hours students should have access to learning incentives in DreamBox Math, and then click Update to save your changes.
- Arcade: Spend coins and play games
- My House: Change avatar, see Adventure Friend cards, view certificates, use manipulatives
- Collections: See minigame collection pieces and play minigames.
- Personalization: Update or purchase avatar, music, or background.

Updating students' access to incentives in DreamBox Math:
- Sign into your Experience dashboard and open DreamBox Math.

- When your Math educator dashboard opens, click your name in the upper right corner and select DreamBox Settings.

Engagement Restrictions: FAQs
| Q: I restricted my students' access to non-lesson incentives but some of my students can still access the Arcade and other incentives. How do I fix this? |
A: If a student is enrolled in two or more DreamBox Math classrooms, all of these classrooms need to have the same engagement restrictions or the student will be able to access incentives during any allowed time in any of the classes.
- If you know which classes the student is enrolled in, reach out to the teachers and to see if you can all set the same engagement restrictions.
- If this does not work, or you do not not know which classes the student is enrolled in, contact the Customer Support Team and we will be happy to help.
| Q: Is it possible to allow access to the Arcade, Treehouse, or My Stuff only after students have completed a specific number of lessons? |
A: Not at this time.
| Q: Can I restrict some students from the Arcade, Treehouse, or My Stuff but allow others? |
A: Not at this time. Engagement restrictions can be set at the classroom level only.
| Q: I am an administrator in DreamBox. I am trying to restrict access to the Arcade and My House but I do not see the Engagement Restrictions tab. |
A: Only teachers can see the Engagement Restrictions tab. Administrators can open a teacher's Engagement Restrictions tab through the Educators tab on their dashboard.

| Q: Can I set engagement restrictions at a school or district level? |
