DreamBox Math Student Experience: My Stuff (Grades 3+)

From My Stuff, 3rd-8th grade students can view the badges they’ve earned, play mini-games they unlock, and use their coins to purchase additional avatars, background music, and wallpapers. They can also track their progress through the DreamBox Math curriculum.

Badges 

Inside badges, students can see the badges they have unlocked by completing specific tasks while working in DreamBox Math. They can also see the badges they could unlock in the future.

Student Stats and Achievements 

These sections allow 3rd - 8th graders with school accounts to track their progress in the Achievement tab, their total lessons completed, and time spent on DreamBox Math in the Stats tab. Students can access these pages by going to their learning environments, clicking on my stuff (1), and selecting the achievements or stats tab (2). Click here to learn more about the Students Stats and Achievements pages.

Collections 

Students can see the minigames and collection pieces that they have and have not unlocked in Collections. Students unlock collection pieces and minigames based on the time they spend in DreamBox Math. The items they have unlocked are in full color. All others are grayed out or show a padlock icon.

Personalize (Color Theme, Avatars, Music, and Wallpaper) 

Students can personalize their DreamBox Math environment in one of two ways:

  1. Use the coins they earn playing DreamBox Math to purchase or select an avatar, music, or background wallpaper (Grades 3+).
  2. Choose a color theme or create an avatar (Grades 6-8 only).

Purchase or Select an Avatar, Music, or Background Wallpaper (Grades 3+)

Students in can use their coins to buy incentives like additional avatars, background music, and wallpaper on the Personalize page.

To open and purchase incentives from the My Stuff page, students should: 

  • Click the my stuff button at the top of the learning environment. 

  • Click the personalize button along the ribbon. 

  • To purchase an incentive, click the picture of the incentive. 

  • Click Yes when DreamBox asks them if they really want to buy it. The coin next to the incentive will vanish. 

  • To return to the lesson chooser, click my lessons at the top of the page.

 

Choose a Color Theme or Create an Avatar

Students in the grades 6-8 environment can select a background color theme or create a personalized avatar on the Personalize page.

To select a color theme, 6th-8th grade students should:

  • Click the my stuff button at the top of the learning environment. 

  • Click the personalize button along the ribbon. 

  • Click the pencil icon in the Color Theme section.

  • Select the Primary and Accent color and click the checkmark to save your changes.

  • The My Lessons page will show the updated color theme. Click the checkmark if you want to make additional changes.
