DreamBox Math School Families: Set Up a Free Family Account

If your student has a DreamBox Learning Math account through their school, you can create a free Family Account that allows you to monitor their progress.

Logging in to Your Student's School Math Account

You will set up your Math Family account directly from the DreamBox Math student environment. To do this, your student needs to log into their school DreamBox Math account on a laptop, Chromebook, or desktop computer.

Note: You cannot set up a Family account if your student logs in to an iPad. You can only do so from a laptop, Chromebook, or desktop computer.

• Open an internet browser on your computer and ask your child to log in to DreamBox Math the same way they do at school.
• The login method can vary depending on the school. For detailed login instructions, click here. 
• If your student does not know their username and password, please refer to the Family Letter sent by the teacher.

If your student did not bring home a Family Letter, contact the teacher for the student's username and password. DreamBox Customer Support cannot provide that information.

After setting up your Math Family account, you can log in to your Math Family dashboard from play.dreambox.com using the email address and password you used to create your account.

Directions: Setting Up a New Math School Family Account

Follow the directions below to create a new Math Family account.

• After your student has logged in to DreamBox Math, click the Set up parent access link in the bottom-right corner of the screen. The Parent Account Setup page will open.

• Enter the email address and password you would like to use to access your Math Family Dashboard, and then click Submit.

• After you have created the account and linked your student, you can choose to:
  • Let your student return to the play environment
  • Link another student by repeating the steps above
  • Access your Family Dashboard.

Note: It can take up to 24 hours for your student's data to appear in your Family Dashboard.

After setting up your Math Family account, you can log in to your Math Family dashboard from play.dreambox.com using the email address and password you used to create your account.

Adding a Student to an Existing Math School Family Account

To add a student to an existing Math Family account:

• After your student has logged in to a laptop, Chromebook, or desktop computer, click the Set up parent access link in the bottom-right corner of the screen. The Parent Account Setup page will open.
• Check the I am a current customer box and enter the email address and password you used to set up your account.

• Follow the prompts to add the student to your existing account.

I do not see the Set Up Parent Access link

There are two reasons you may not see the Set Up Parent Access link:

1. You are using an iPad. You cannot set up family access on an iPad. The link is only visible if you are using a computer.

2. If you do not see the Set Up Parent Access link on a computer, the student is already linked to a family account. Please confirm that you have not already set up parent access and that the student has not been linked to another family member's account. If you continue to have difficulty, please contact DreamBox Customer Support.

Can I attach multiple email addresses to my account?

Not at this time. 

Each student account can only be tied to one email address. If multiple households need access to the same family account, we suggest the following:

• Create the family account using a shared email address across households. Click here for more information.
• After the account is created, add additional email addresses that should receive notifications.

Can I access my Math Family account with different email addresses?

Not at this time.

The only email address you can use to log into your Math Family account is the one you used to create it.
 

My student's name is already being used on my account.

You cannot have duplicate student names on your Family Dashboard. If you receive this message, you may have already created and linked an account to your student. Have you:

• Created a Free Home Trial?
• Used DreamBox Math from home in the past?

To address this:

• Verify if another account exists.
• Either: Change your student’s name on the existing account or delete the student on your home account.
