As an educator in DreamBox Math, you may be able to edit your first and last name, classroom association, and other account details from one of two places:
- Inside the Settings icon on your DreamBox Math educator dashboard.
- From the Profile Panel in your Discovery Education Home page.
How you update your account details depends on the configuration of your DreamBox Math educator dashboard.
How Do You Open DreamBox Settings?
Educators follow different steps to adjust how their names and other account settings appear in DreamBox Math based on how their DreamBox Math educator dashboard is configured. The quickest way to determine which directions to follow is to sign into your educator dashboard and check if the Settings icon appears in the top navigation pane.

Educators cannot see the Settings icon in their DreamBox Math educator dashboard. To adjust programs settings like your name, select your name and then click Roster Management in your DreamBox Math educator dashboard.

From the Settings Icon: Update Your Name and Account Details in DreamBox Math
| Educator email addresses cannot be edited from the educator dashboard. If your or another teacher's email address needs to be changed, please reach out to your DreamBox Math site or district administrator. |

Your DreamBox Math role and dashboard access permissions affect whether you can edit or view a classroom roster.

DreamBox Math administrators see a different set of Settings tabs than teachers. Administrators can see a teacher's Settings tabs, but they need to follow different instructions.

From the Settings Icon: Editing Your Name and Account Profile Details

Unless you are a district administrator, you cannot update your role in DreamBox Math. It will remain grayed out in the My Profile tab. If your role or permissions need to be updated:

- Click the Settings icon in the top navigation pane. It will default to the My Profile tab.

- If you need to adjust your first or last name, type the changes in the First Name and Last Name field. The updated text will be green until you save your changes.

- To remove your association with a classroom, click the trash can icon next to the classroom name.

- To add yourself to a classroom, select Add Classroom, select the classroom from the drop-down list, and click Add.

- If you are done changing your DreamBox Math profile information, click the Update button to save your changes.

Selecting Roster Management: Updating Your Name in DreamBox Math

If your district or school manages your rosters and student and educator accounts, we recommend you reach out to your school or district IT team and/or DreamBox Math administrator and ask them to update your name, email, or other account details in the Clever or ClassLink files your IT team shares with DreamBox. Any manual changes you make in your Discovery Education Profile page will be eliminated in the next data sync. |

Educators can update their name and email from the Profile page of their Discovery Education Experience Home page.
If you are currently viewing your Math educator dashboard:
- Click your name and select Roster Management in the drop-down list.

- When either the All Classrooms or My Admin page opens, click the Discovery Education logo in the top left corner.

Roster Management: Adding or Removing a Teacher from a Classroom
How you update your or another teacher's classroom association depends on your rostering method and your role in DreamBox Math & Discovery Education.
