As a teacher, school-level administrator, or district-level administrator, you may be able to edit the overall classroom settings from your dashboard, including:
- Changing classroom name
- Updating classroom grade level
- Changing classroom Password type
- Changing what language students see (English or Spanish)
- Updating Assignment settings (print program & Assessment framework)
- Adding or removing teachers
How and where you do this depends on the way your DreamBox Math educator dashboard is configured and your editing permissions.
How Do You Open DreamBox Settings?
Educators adjust classroom settings based on how their DreamBox Math educator dashboard is configured. The quickest way to determine which directions to follow is to open your Math educator dashboard and check if the Settings icon appears in the top navigation pane.
In the table below, find the image that matches your dashboard and click the link to jump to the correct instructions.

DreamBox Math administrators see a different set of Settings tabs than teachers. Administrators can see a teacher's Settings tabs, but they need to follow different instructions.

- Click the Settings icon in the top navigation pane, select the Class Settings tab, and if needed, select the Class.

Open teacher Settings and then the Class Settings tab. To update classroom details:

- To update Classroom Name: Click inside the Name box and type the new name.
| Each classroom in a school must have a unique name. |
- To update Grade Level: Click the Grade Level drop-down list and select a different grade level.

- To update Password Type: Click the Password drop-down list and select the new type. You can choose between Picture or Text passwords.
- All unsaved updates will be displayed in green text. If these are the only changes you want to make, click Update.

Open teacher Settings and then the Class Settings tab. To update classroom details:

- To update the Language students will see and hear in DreamBox Math: Click the Language drop-down list and select a language. You can choose between English or Spanish.
- To update the Assignments Print Program: Click the Print Program drop-down list and select a program.

- To update the Assignments Assessment Framework: Click the Assessment drop-down list to select or de-select the NWEA assessment framework).

Settings Icon: Sign in and Select a Classroom
Sign in to your dashboard, click the Settings icon, click the Class Settings tab, and select a classroom if needed.

- Scroll to the Teachers section at the bottom of the page, and click Add Teacher.

- Select the educator you want to add from the drop-down list, and then click the Add button.

- Scroll to the Teachers section at the bottom of the page and click the Trash can icon next to the educator you want to remove. Repeat this process to remove additional educators (if needed).

From DreamBox Settings: Adjust Classroom Settings and Details
| If your district or school manages your rosters, we recommend you reach out to your school or district IT team and/or DreamBox Math administrator to make any changes to classrooms. |
If educators do not see the Settings icon at the top of their DreamBox Math educator dashboard, they edit Math classrooms using their DreamBox Math educator dashboard and Discovery Education tools, depending on what they want to edit. Teachers and administrators often follow different steps to edit classrooms.

Administrators who do not see the Settings icon at the top of their DreamBox Math educator dashboard will need to impersonate a teacher from their Discovery Education Experience Home page, open DreamBox Math as the teacher, and then update the classroom settings.
Opening the Discovery Education Experience Home Page
To impersonate a teacher and open their DreamBox Math home page you must first open your Discovery Experience Home Page by either signing in through Discovery Education or opening the Home Page from your DreamBox Math educator dashboard.
If you have already opened your Experience Home pPage, click here to jump to the next set of instructions. If you are currently viewing your DreamBox Math educator dashboard, follow the below directions.
- Click your name and select Roster Management in the drop-down list.

Impersonating a Teacher and Opening DreamBox Math
- When you have opened the Discovery Education Experience Home page, click here to open directions on how to impersonate a teacher, and then continue following the directions.
- When the teacher's Experience Home page opens, select DreamBox Math at the top of the teacher's dashboard.
