Rostering, Classes, & Groups FAQs
Q: How do we import our students and/or teachers into the Reading Plus system? |
A: To import data into Reading Plus, Administrators may import data into Reading Plus by preparing a comma-separated values (CSV) file or exporting a CSV file from your Student/Teacher Information System. We call this process Reading Manual Roster Import. Click here to open and explore all resources in the Reading Manual Roster Import: Overview & Set Guides section of our Help Center.
If your district has not shared rostering data for the first time or wants to change rostering methods this school year, your IT staff must complete our Integrations & Access Requests form. |
Q: We use Classlink or Clever to create classes and class rosters in Reading Plus. Can we enroll students in multiple classes? |
A: Students can be enrolled in more than one class via Clever or ClassLink, with the following requirements and restrictions:
- The district IT team, school administrator, or educator must select a primary class for students through the Reading Plus educator dashboard.
- The teacher assigned to the primary class is the only teacher who can assign the Insight assessment.
- A student's weekly assignments are determined by their primary class, not the other class/es they are enrolled in.

Q: We are seeing classes for the new school year and classes and groups from the previous school year in Reading Plus. Why is this happening? |
A: At the beginning of a new school year, one of the most common reasons you may see classes from previous school year alongside classes for the new year is that you may not have chosen to remove all Classes and Groups when you reset your site. Reach out to our Customer Support Team to get help clearing out the old classes.
