Learning Environment FAQs

Q: Does the learning environment determine what content students see?

A: No. Each learning environment is independent of the actual learning content in the lessons, so students in the same classroom grade level working at different grade levels in DreamBox Math can use the same Learning Environment.

Example: Two 3rd-grade students are playing Math lessons in the 3rd-5th grade learning environment. The lesson cards in the learning environment recommend lessons appropriate to each student's understanding. In this example, Student 1 is playing lessons aligned with 2nd-grade standards, and Student 2 is working through lessons aligned with 4th-grade standards.  Each student has a unique learning path, but both students access recommended lessons through the grades 3-5 learning environment.

Q: Is there a way to change the weekly lesson goal in the learning environments?

A: Not at this time.

Q: Can teachers award coins or tokens to students?

A: Not at this time.
